Counseling
I embrace a holistic approach in respect to the wisdom of our heart, mind and body, integrating various approaches into the best approach for each client.
My counseling approaches include:
Client-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Gestalt, Focusing, Solution-Focused, Guided Imagery, and etc.
Respect for clients’ emotional, mental, physical and spiritual development.
Focus on accessing the inner wisdom of the client to provide life solution.
Support and guidance through difficult times, transformation and growth.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a psychotherapy undertaken with a client in hypnosis. First a client becomes totally relaxed and then gets hypnotized and taps into the subconscious and can achieve deep healing and spiritual awakening.
Hypnotherapy enables clients to be in an altered state and helps clients overcome their problems. The subconscious mind stores vast information, including emotions, sensations, memories and images. A client can choose the only necessary information out of the vast information of the subconscious and change the unnecessary emotions and sensations, or delete them and solve the underlying problem at the source.
It is a quick, safe and effective approach. I am confident that this highly effective therapy can help people change their lives to the directions they wish in a short time by healing and realization.
Hypnotherapy is not the practice of medicine and is not offered as a replacement of psychiatric or medical treatment.
Profile
I am Kazuyo Takagi, MSCP, a counselor and a certified NGH hypnotherapist.
I was born and raised in Japan. I moved to Hawaii in1998 and went back to school after I turned 50 years old. I graduated and received a BA in Psychology from the University of Hawaii West Oahu and earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology degree in track of Marriage and Family Therapy from Chaminade University.
I interned at a hospice and later was employed there as a counselor, providing social and psychological support to patients and their families. Later I studied hypnotherapy and got certified as a hypnotherapist by the National Guild of Hypnotists. I started Hypno Harmony Hawaii, my counseling practice integrated with hypnotherapy. I am a facilitator at “Kids Hurt Too Hawaii “ , a trauma and grief work NPO, helping children who have lost parents through death or got separated from divorce. I am also a member of Living Ohana, the community group for Japanese people living in Oahu, conducting workshops including Stress Management Workshop.
